Cheryl Myers
General Manager
Hello! My name is Cheryl Myers and I am the General Manager of Sun Village Retirement Residence. We are a friendly, independent community who enjoys welcoming new Residents. I have been passionate about working with Seniors since I began my career with PPSL nearly 15 years ago. I stumbled upon my career by luck and have never looked back.
I began my career in Seniors living after attending Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton for Business Administration. I started at PCC (another fine PPSL home) in Salmon Arm. My family and I relocated to AB where I worked at Alberta Health Services and helped run a family business. My love of Seniors and BC brought us to Penticton where I rejoined the PPSL family at Sun Village.
Sun Village houses a wonderful array of independent Seniors who enjoy bingo, cards, Birthday parties, and Happy Hour. The humour, the laughter, the fun! I have acquired a whole new family here and I enjoy interacting with them all!

Welcome to the Family
Founded by Al and Jenny Jina, Park Place Seniors Living is a family-owned and operated company based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Starting out as a nurse, Jenny has worked with Seniors her entire life. Together with her husband Al, they opened their first location in Nelson, BC in 1993 with a goal to enrich the lives of seniors and define a new quality of care.
Today, the Park Place family has grown to include more than 35 residences located in communities throughout BC, Alberta, and Ontario. The Okanagan is home to Sun Village Retirement Residence, which offers independent seniors living.
